In 1988, Fastlane Pools Fitness Systems developed a propeller-driven, swim-in-place technology that became the industry leader in swim spas - and has remained so every since.
Today, the Fastlane Pools® Fitness Systems (E-Series) and SwimCross™ Exercise Systems (X-Series) share many exceptional design elements. There is, however, one essential difference - swim current generation. The E-Series features the original Fastlane Pools® Swim Machine while the X-Series swim current is powered by a unique jet system.
You may never do a tumble turn again!
A revolution in swim spa technology
For a superior swim-in-place experience, look no further than the iconic Fastlane Pools Swim Machine.
A custom-made, hydraulically powered propulsion system, it creates a laminar current of up to 19,000 litres per minute that is “wider than your body and deeper than your stroke.”
Thanks to multiple conditioning grills smoothing and redirecting the water, the swim current is free of turbulence. Even at full power it feels like swimming in open water.
You can also increase or decrease speed on the fly with a water resistant remote control. The swim machine’s flow speed ranges from 1:08 to 5.00 minutes per 100 metres and can easily be adjusted for precise pace selection.
The Fastlane Pools Swim Machine is powered by a hydraulic unit (HPU) that pumps high-grade biodegradable vegetable oil to the incredibly efficient 5 HP underwater motor. This design allows for maximum power while remaining energy efficient.
Optional – yet essential – the Fastlane Pools® Fitness Systems hydraulically powered underwater treadmill offers low-impact running and walking options.
Like the Fastlane Pools Swim Machine, the underwater treadmill is powered by a hydraulic power unit (HPU) that pumps high-grade, biodegradable vegetable oil to the incredibly efficient 5 HP underwater motor. This design allows for maximum power while remaining energy wise. With the water resistant remote control, you can increase or decrease speed on the fly. The treadmill has a speed range of 0 to 8.8 KPH.
The revolutionary shell design’s advanced look and feel will make it the centrepiece of your backyard. The bar top completes the beautiful and modern style, which flows gracefully from the spa seats to the swim current generator. At first glance, it’s immediately clear that the collaboration between our designers and engineers has resulted in a shell that stands out in both form and function. Choose from two colours, Alpine White or Ice Grey.
A superior jetted option of exceptional value
The swim jets in your SwimCross Exercise System are unique to Fastlane Pools Fitness Systems and are designed for both swim and aquacise workouts for all ages and skill levels.
A total of five swim jets, driven by two 2.5HP pumps, provide a steady stream of water that is more powerful than the average jet. Utilising a Venturi effect, not air, creates a stronger resistance for swimming with less turbulence than other swim spas on the market.
Innovations in Swim Jet Technology
Venturi Effect Explained
The swim jets in the X-Series use a Venturi effect, not air, to draw-in or ‘entrain’ more water. This effectively multiplies the volume of water and results in stronger resistance for swimming with less turbulence. You’ll find it easier to stay centred and afloat, thanks to the jet configuration, with the top jets providing resistance and the bottom jets providing lift. To customise your workout, simply toggle the three top jets between two speeds and the two bottom jets between on and off – a total combination of five output levels.
Venturi 5 Jet System
The swim jets in your SwimCross Exercise System are designed for both swim and water-workout options. A total of five swim jets, driven by two pumps, provide a steady stream of water that is more powerful than the average jet. Suitable for all ages, sizes and skill levels.
4 Jet System
The jets at the top do not provide a stream wide enough for your stroke. These jetted systems use air to create force in the jets, which merely give an appearance of power and flow. In reality, swimming into air feels turbulent, makes it difficult to see and is not an authentic swimming experience.
3 Jet System
The jets at the top do not provide a stream wide enough for your stroke and the singular jet underneath does not provide sufficient lift. Similar to the 4-jet system, it uses air to create force in the jets, which merely give an appearance of power and flow. Again, swimming into air feels turbulent, makes it difficult to see and is not an authentic swimming experience.
Swim tether, which is available as an optional accessory. It’s a must for beginning swimmers or for anyone looking to improve his or her swimming form, by adding further assistance.
Simply attach the optional row bars to the built-in anchors and/or handrails to get your low impact, full body workout underway. Rowing is so beneficial because it keeps your heart rate elevated and focuses on core strength. You can also attach resistance bands to the sturdy handrails to enhance workout options. The kit is suitable for both the X-Series and E-Series.
