How do I maintain my swim spa or Fitness System?

A Fastlane Pools® Fitness System is smaller than a regular swimming pool so is relatively easy to care for. However, regular maintenance will ensure your system and its components continue to perform at the optimum level. 

Maintaining your swim spa

Water Maintenance
As a swim spa owner, this is perhaps the most important area. Your dealer will guide you through the requirements for proper water maintenance. Some points to note include:

• Test the water with a test strip once a week or after each use.
• Water chemistry should be maintained with the correct measurement of water care products dispensed into the water. Refer to your swim spa manual for information.
• 50% of the water needs to be changed every year, depending on your level of usage. Check with your dealer if unsure.
• Super chlorination may be needed weekly or monthly, depending on your usage.

Filter Cycles

How often you clean the filters will depend on how often you use your swim spa and the number of people using it. As a guide, we recommend checking and cleaning them every two to four weeks to ensure proper filter flow.

The control panel allows you to adjust your filter cycle to run up to twice a day and up to 12 hours per session. You have the option to change the days, start times and duration.

Freezing Prevention

Your Fastlane Pools Fitness System is designed for use all year round and in any climate. However, if it hasn’t been used or isn’t winterised properly, extremely cold temperatures could cause damage to the system. If installed outdoors and in colder climates, extra precautions should be taken. Consult your local dealer for help with weather-related maintenance issues.

Other Maintenance

• Clean the acrylic shell of your swim spa regularly with water and a soft rag or nylon scrubber. If there is a high concentration of dissolved minerals, you may want to use a Stain and Scale Inhibitor.
• Remove pillows for cleaning whenever the swim spa shell is being cleaned
• Clean the swim spa cabinet regularly with a mild soap and water solution
• Rinse the vinyl cover once a month to remove dirt or debris
